School Performance Information
Unvalidated Pupil Performance Information 2022
Each year, the children in Year 2 and Year 6 sit national 'SATs' tests.
Due to the pandemic, Year 2 and Year 6 pupils have not undertaken SATS since 2019.
Talking Base
As you will be aware, some pupils at Barrington are part of our Talking Base (speech and language provision).
These pupils access a personalised curriculum and usually are unable to access the curriculum at the same level as their peers. Often they will not be entered for end of key stage statutory assessments (SATs) as they unable to access these tests.
Despite this, they still form part of the cohort and are included in the percentages that the government reports to the public. As a school, we produce two sets of data for year groups where there is a Talking Base pupil on role; this is used by staff as part of pupil progress discussions and is also reported like this to governors.
In the year 2021/22 there was a cohort of 33 pupils. The data below shows our performance information including these pupils (as the government reports).
The results for Year 6 are summarised in the table below.
KS2 results
Please note: The first row of results shows the proportion of children at Barrington Primary School who reached the 'Expected Standard' for their age.
The bottom row shows an average of all children’s ‘scaled scores’ (effectively, their numerical test result). A score of 100 (or above) is considered to be 'at the Expected Standard’.
The figures in brackets are the preliminary national average figures from all schools in the country.

DfE Performance tables
The Department for Education publish performance tables which give information on the achievements of pupils in primary, secondary and 16-18 provision in schools and colleges, and how they compare with other schools and colleges in the Local Authority (LA) area and in England as a whole.
